A Little About the Owner 

A little about me: I am excited to share alittle about myself as the owner of this growing company and lead trainer. Over the last 18 years I have spent time as an educator and even a program director within public and private education. I have worked with young Infants  as well as scholars in middle school. I enjoy the ability to advocate, lead, and educate each age group. My goal with 1D2E LLC is to support youth and teachers within all forms of education.

Education is a gift, and I believe all children deserve to have a safe space to be educated in, but this cannot happen without giving teachers a safe space to strengthen their skills, share their own knowledge and a plan to confidently facilitate the learning day in their classroom. The training and development I have created in each course follows actual early childhood education pedagogy but is adapted to fit the current classroom. 

I come with knowledge on child development and elementary education. An extreme passion for education, advocating for teachers and finding creative ways for them to enjoy their role and be proud of what they do in a stressful system. As well as a deep love for watching children succeed in life and grow into healthy minded adults. I was recently called an "education resource strategist" in other words a problem solver......who is known for creating items that support teachers and students in real time, this gives me joy.

If you trust your staff or students with me, I mentor teachers who need that second voice, outside of their supervisor or team, with knowledge of best care practices. The second pair of hands or time that a teacher ask for. I provide the exciting event and activities through my Adventures in Learning Club for children and our Smart Kid Summer Events & Shows for all youth to educate and celebrate learning. 

What makes me different from others is that I stay in the classroom, I continue to work with children to ensure that every piece of information I share is authentic and current to the schools I support.

Credentials: Associate's Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Education Certificate, Early Childhood Career Studies Certification, bachelor's degree in psychology, Master's in Elementary Education and Currently approaching my final stretch of being a Doctoral Candidate, VA Department of Social Services Preschool Endorsement, Affiliated memberships NAEYC & more. And continuously taking courses/conferences to stay current with educational knowledge.
